Midsummer Scream, the largest Halloween and horror fan convention in the world, returns to Southern California August 3-4 for a monstrous weekend of thrills, chills, and haunting fun. For the first time, Midsummer Scream will occupy the entire Long Beach Convention Center, doubling the show’s size for 2019.

Tickets for Midsummer Scream 2019 are now on sale at MidsummerScream.org including single-day General Admission passes, as well as the very popular limited-edition Gold Bat Weekend Pass, which enables guests to access the show floor, Hall of Shadows, and other areas of Midsummer Scream an hour early each day before the convention opens to the general public; front of line priority access to panel presentations and attractions throughout the venue; a collectible lanyard and credential; and a Gold Bat 2019 enamel pin.

Midsummer Scream is expected to draw over 30,000 fans of all things macabre to Long Beach, where they will find a greatly-expanded show floor featuring more than 350 unique vendors, Paranormal Pixie’s children’s activity area with Buster Balloon, a wide variety of live entertainment performances, and exciting celebrity appearances including the queen of Halloween, Cassandra Peterson (Elvira, Mistress of the Dark).

This year, Midsummer Scream celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion, complete with a must-see panel presentation that includes Disney Legends Bob Gurr and Tony Baxter, vendors on the show floor in the Corridor of Creepy Creeps selling Mansion-inspired merchandise, and a Saturday night party, the Grim Grinning Gala, which promises to be the swingingest wake anywhere for both the living and the disembodied, complete with a movie screening of The Haunted Mansionwith live commentary by the film’s director, Rob Minkoff, and Producer, Don Hahn. Happy Haunts that materialize in costume Saturday night are invited to participate in the Grim Grinning Gala’s contest with a $500 prize being awarded to the ghost with the most creativity! Tickets to the Haunted Mansion Gala is $20 and can be bought on the website while supplies last. (Note: Party admission already included with Gold Bat Pass.)

Deemed the “gateway to the Halloween season” by fans, Midsummer Scream will host presentations from many of Southern California’s major haunt attractions, including Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights, Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor, Los Angeles Haunted Hayride, and Knott’s Scary Farm, as they offer guests exclusive sneak peeks at what terrors they have in store this coming October across the Southland.

New posters are up on the site, my dudes. And grab my novels for cheap now while they’re discounted \m/  -cm

Back at it, kids! Got started on Chapter 51 today, which is in Book 3. I mentioned before that I’m going with “running chapters,” so Book Two starts with Chapter 23, and Book Three with 38.5. The mayhem is real, people. The world I originally envisioned for my story is getting closer and closer; that apocalyptic Hell world where all manner of dark things freely roam the Earth, from creatures to demons to spirits and more.

Get in on Book One here –> BloodMagik.com <– Book two will hopefully be available in/around October 2019. And I’m trying to get the new edition of Book One out as soon as I can, at which point the original, limited-to-500, Pure Art edition will go up to full price so grab it while it’s still cheap. (You’re gonna regret not getting it if I ever become famous, dudes.=P ) \m/ -z/cm

Two baked beans bumbling through the holidays find themselves bong-deep in bodies. But no amount of blunt smoke can make this problem bury itself…

My latest attempt at an Add Campaign headline with only two characters to spare. Trying to sell your novel in under 150 characters (or whatever it was) is a bitch. At least, trying to use those characters to display its uniqueness is. Alliteration can be obnoxious, but I’ve always found it to have a ring. We’ll see if this one does any better than the last.

And, as always, get your signed copy from –> BloodMagik.com <– I marked it down to half-price for the off-season so now’s the time to buy! And, if and when you discovered you loved it, please take a few minutes to review it on your favorite book site. (Them reviews is hard to come by…) Thanks, peeps. Oh, and to sample the book, just go to Amazon and “take a look inside.” (but buy it from my site; Amazon gets enough of my profits as it is) -z/cm

Excerpt from Book Two, Blood Magik: The Reigning Dead–

The valiant convoy of zombie Priests and their diehard, human affiliates coasted south along the desolate 405 freeway for what felt like hours with Marty leading the pack, him never once wavering in the quest to recover his sister. Wet blood from the demon mists moistened his dead-eyes and accumulated like tears at their corners; the wind blowing by his face pushed droplets across his temples resembling ritual markings drawn before a battle. The Coach’s Chevy War-Machine and his trailer of undead in-tow followed steadily behind, with Terry (who’d regained the driver’s seat) and his dead-infested surf-racks keeping a close pace. They were about a mile out when the bombs dropped and the hell-wall took to the skies. The flames barreled across the freeway in front of them, cutting them off from their destination and generally shocking the shit out of those who were still capable of surprise.

Wicked little #book creeper 😬😁 creater by @horrorsculptures on insta

“I love the smell of a coward’s insides in the morning!” Cayman, the second largest Hound in the New Hell, had his bulky forearm tight around a soldier’s neck. Reaching over his chest, he punched through the man’s stomach to finger at his spilling bowels like digging through a cooler for a cold beverage. “Smells like eggs and demise!” He took a bite out of his handful while rapid gunfire and chaos reigned around him.

………….

Trying to get a little editing done whil in the Urgent Care waiting room. Pinched an all-too-familiar nerve in my trap this morning and can barely fucking move 😬😬😬 Hopefully it clears up before the San Diego comic fest next week. 🤞
